Considerado como uno de los escultores más importantes del México contemporáneo, ha participado en numerosas exposiciones en el país. La mayoría de sus trabajos fueron realizados con técnica impecable, destacándose por sus temas, así como en la factura de orfebrería y joyería, utilizando además, del onix, bronce y mármol, el cristal de roca, el oro y la plata.

Murió en la ciudad de México el 15 de diciembre de 2004
